What this tool calculates

Monthly Nakshatra Transits refines the instants when a selected body's calculated sidereal longitude crosses from one of the 27 Nakshatras into the next. The zodiac is divided into equal 13-degree-20-minute lunar-mansion sectors for this purpose, so these boundaries are not identical to thirty-degree Rashi edges. The event list names the mansion being left, the one being entered and the local date/time. This is a transition finder, not a table that guesses one Nakshatra for an entire month or day.

How to interpret the result

Choose a year, month, planet and observer timezone. Work through the event timestamps rather than assuming an entry applies for the whole civil date. For the Moon, the transition can occur several times during a week; other planets move differently. The September 2026 Moon regression finds between twenty-five and thirty-one Nakshatra boundary events, then samples the computed longitude two seconds before and after each event to verify the displayed names. That is a method check, not a static promise that every month will contain the same number of entries. In practical use, a transition near midnight is easy to misread when copying only the day number. Retain the timezone, local clock time and mansion names when sharing a result. To compare the transition with a Panchanga sunrise Nakshatra, ask which instant the almanac is labeling. The instant of a boundary and the Nakshatra at sunrise can describe different portions of one day without either being inconsistent. If a birth time lies near an entry, use the exact instant in the birth chart rather than selecting the mansion based on the date alone. If a longitude from another reference disagrees, confirm ayanamsha and that both calculations concern the same universal instant.

Scope and limitations

The page reports calculated motion through Nakshatra sectors but does not promise event outcomes, assign a complete Muhurta, or infer the birth Nakshatra of somebody without verified birth details. Ayanamsha differences may shift published boundary times. Certain regions apply distinct observance rules at sunrise or other anchors; these cannot be replaced by the raw crossing list. Very fine timing questions should include the input timezone and uncertainties rather than assuming the displayed clock has unlimited accuracy.
