Vimshottari Dasha
A traditional 120-year planetary-period sequence seeded by the birth Moon’s Nakshatra.
Definition
The birth Nakshatra identifies the starting Mahadasha lord, and the Moon’s progress through that Nakshatra determines the remaining balance at birth. The sequence then follows fixed planetary-period lengths.
Example
Two people born in the same Nakshatra can have different first Mahadasha end dates because their Moon degrees differ.
Dasha is a timing framework for traditional interpretation, not a deterministic event guarantee.
