Navamsa (D9)
The ninth divisional chart, produced by dividing each zodiac sign into nine parts of 3°20′.
Definition
Navamsa is a mathematical remapping of the natal sidereal longitude, not an independent physical position. It is one of the most commonly used Vargas in Vedic astrology.
Example
Crossing a 3°20′ boundary inside the D1 sign can change the D9 sign immediately.
D9 should be interpreted with D1 and the disclosed Varga mapping, not as a replacement for the natal chart.
