In AstroVedic360’s Vedic paths, Rashi generally refers to the Lahiri sidereal zodiac unless a separate tool states another convention. Moon Rashi is the sign containing the Moon, while Sun Rashi and Lagna are separate references.
Example
If the Moon longitude is 187 degrees in a sidereal zodiac, it falls in the seventh 30-degree sign sector.
