Varga
A divisional-chart mapping that transforms a natal sidereal longitude according to a defined division rule.
Definition
The Shodasha Varga family includes D1, D2, D3, D4, D7, D9, D10, D12, D16, D20, D24, D27, D30, D40, D45 and D60. Different divisions use different parity, modality or element rules.
Example
If two sites agree on a planet’s D1 longitude but disagree on D30, the likely issue is the divisional mapping rather than the sky position.
