Whole Sign Houses
A house system in which the entire Lagna sign is House 1 and each following sign becomes the next house.
Definition
Whole Sign houses do not use unequal intermediate cusps for the main house assignment. The exact Ascendant degree is still calculated, but house number follows sign order from Lagna.
Example
With Karka Lagna, Karka is House 1, Simha House 2 and so on, regardless of where within Karka the exact Ascendant degree falls.
AstroVedic360’s main Vedic chart uses Whole Sign houses; its KP path separately uses Placidus cusps.
